Burmese Medical Association of North America

Our Mission is to provide humanitarian assistance, mainly through promoting and maintaining the health and wellbeing of "all" peoples of Burma (Myanmar), especially the underprivileged, irrespective of their religion, ethnicity, political affiliation; and to enhance the medical knowledge of doctors who are in practice or training inside the country, as well as, doctors in transition who are outside the country, while maintaining the unique cultures and traditions of "all" peoples of Burma (Myanmar).

BMA-NA Membership
  Membership in the BMA-NA is open to all medical professionals who are graduates of the Institute of Medicine 1, Institute of Medicine 2, or the Institute of Medicine Mandalay, and living in the United States or Canada.

Members receive our quarterly newsletter and a $25 discount at our annual meeting.

Though membership is not necessary to attend Meetings or participate in our Humanitarian Aid efforts, we encourage membership.  Information we collect povides recent graduates with contact information and helps them to establish themselves, improving the strength and size of our network.

If you are In-Transition to the United States or Canada, membership is free. Otherwise, the following fees apply:
$100 Physicians and Dentists
$25 Residents and Retirees
$50 Non-Physicians

BMA-NA life time memberships.

To further the mission of  BMA-NA and to bolster the cash reserves, the current officers, some of the past officers and the elected officers for 2006 – 2008 have pledged to become lifetime BMA-NA members by paying a one time fee of $ 1000.00 per person. This membership is by no means restricted to the past, present and future officers of the organization but is open to anyone who has faith, dedication and commitment to the mission of BMA-NA.
